In order to work as an accountant, you must complete an accredited Bachelor degree in Commerce with major in Accounting. VET courses can provide a good pathway to undergraduate accounting degrees. You may choose to complete a VET qualification in accounting before progressing to a bachelor degree.
Applicants must meet the English language requirements which may differ from provider to provider. The English language requirements are usually lower for VET programs whereas it is moderate for Bachelor degree programs and excellent English language skills upto B2-C1 level is required for Master degree programs.
It is possible to study VET programs at private colleges, TAFE and universities with TAFE departments, whereas you can study Bachelor and Master degree in Accounting at most universities colleges which offer such programs.
